How to deactivate your Hulu (Plus) account
Hulu is one of the most popular online based companies that offer an ad supported online video service to customers. Hulu offers a number of videos, movies and TV shows to customers who are subscribed to the Hulu and the Hulu Plus subscription service. Members who use Hulu Plus can watch videos in HD from some of the biggest television channels (Fox, NBC, CW, ABC) a day after they have aired. All episodes on Hulu can be viewed on any internet supported device using the Hulu Plus application, or via a web browser if you are using the browser. However, for people who no longer wish to subscribe to their Hulu Plus service and deactivate their account completely, there’s a very simple method that must be followed.
1. Sign in to Hulu Plus
Open the official Hulu website at www.hulu.com and sign in to your account. Provide the user name and password and sign in. From the top right side of the page, you will be able to see your picture. Click on it and then click on Account.
2. Cancel Subscription
Once you access Account Info, a number of options will be visible on the screen. You can check all of your billing information; change your service provider or your password. Right above the Terms of Use that are listed on the bottom right, you will find the button that says Cancel Subscription. Click on it.
3. Watch the compilation
Hulu will show you a small, 11 second video that is designed to coax you in to not cancelling. If you do decide to persist with the cancellation however, you can press Next.
4. Go through the Terms and Conditions
Hulu will then show you a copy of the terms and conditions, and request you to go through them. The document is around eight pages long, and most of the details are about signing on to the website, than off. Click I agree. You will then be taken to a new page with a South Park figure. On the right hand side, Hulu will ask whether you still wish to cancel; press Cancel.
